Maurel et Prom Italia Srl is the Italian subsidiary of Etablissements Maurel et Prom SA, a Paris-based company with decades of experience in the exploration and development of energy resources in various regions of the world, in full integration with the host countries.

Maurel et Prom Italia holds a hydrocarbon exploration permit in Sicily, called “Fiume Tellaro”, which extends across the provinces of Ragusa, Catania, and Siracusa.

In recent years, the company has successfully conducted a significant geophysical survey project covering a large part of the area encompassed by the mining title. Based on the results obtained, the company is proceeding with the permitting phase necessary to follow up on the work program authorized by the Decree of the Sicilian Regional Assessor for Energy and Public Utilities, which foresees the drilling of three exploratory wells.
