Irem was founded in 1982 by a group of entrepreneurs with large experience in mechanical assembly sector.

At the beginning the Company carried out its activities in the industrial area of Syracuse, which is the hub of the largest concentration of refineries and petrochemical plants among the largest in Europe. In over forty years, this hinterland has trained a highly specialized workforce in the field of maintenance and new construction. Irem making the best use of all these resources, has consolidated its activities by developing them domestically and abroad. Frequent training sessions are provided by qualified personnel to company workers in the workplace.

Main business activities: Turn-key contracts, detailed engineering, civil works, mechanical erection works, electrical and instrumental works, assembly of skids, offshore structures such us Jacket, Deck and Topside, storage tanks, insulation, painting, scaffolding, commissioning and start-up activities, fabrication and erection of piping, fabrication and erection of steel structures, maintenance of plants during shutdowns, construction of conventional and green energy production plants.
